Description

Still the benchmark vinyl recording of the Elgar CC. Barbirolli who conducts was amongst the cellists on the first performance and his familiarity with the concerto dominates. While not Jacqueline's first recording it was and still is her most popular. It is possibly Dame Janet Baker's first recording and she shines on every song.
ASD655 ELGAR CELLO CONC. + Sea Pics EX+/EX+ DU PRE/BAKER UK . Disc condition is conservatively EX+ visually and audibly. The sleeve is flipback, clean and but for rubs at the opening, EX+/NM. Disc is in a new antistatic inner. Original inner has a split seam but is included.
