Ignored for a long time in the past, the French punk music is now the subject of books and CD compilations. Legendary names are now combined with new releases of old pieces. Very influenced by the evolution of the American and British scenes, musicians meet in the clubs and music stores of major French cities.

Asphalt Jungle was a French punk band, influenced by artists like The Velvet Underground, The Stooges or The Flamin' Groovies. The band was formed in 1977 by singer and rock-critic Patrick Eudeline and guitarist Rikki Darling. The name of the band was taken from original noir movie directed by John Houston. this short-lived group recorded three singles. Among them are Deconnection (1977) and the famous Polly Magoo. After touring (most of their concerts were cancelled), the group broke up in 1978 without ever meeting any commercial success.

Picture Sleeve is very clean and without any writing on (light vinyl marks and a little "price sticker" trace near the head of the man with the red shirt).

Vynil is really clean & really shiny, without any suspect trace & sounds really good !!! This record comes from an old stock of unsold items of a French records shop (a few listenings, I suppose...)
