This arm when introduced 20 odd years ago was Audio Technicas flagship arm. Its desighn allows it be used with very compliant cartridges.
It can be used with any other type of cartidge.
I have had the arm 20yrs from new and has been used little as you can see from the pictures. It works a treat with the LINN LP12 and is easy to set
The arm is easily detached at the pivot piont and this facility gives the user the added benefit of using the seperate arm tube with another cartridge, so if you have some vinyl lp's that are passed there best you could quickly swop from one arm to the other in seconds.
The arm also has silicone gell damper this facility can be used to dampen the arm/cartridge if desired. This is ideal if you have some warped records, it allows the cartridge to track the grove without jumping and it also cuts down on unwanted low frequency noise generated by the cantilever bobbing violently up and down.
The s shaped arm has never been used and comes boxed with light weight screws/nuts etc.
The cartridge is new , I bought it just a few weeks ago.
The arm comes with a heavy duty lead and separate earth lead .Itplugs into the arm underneath.
