ATAULFO ARGENTA EDITION AUDIOPHILE 180 GRAM 7LP+12" BOX 1997 ALTO ANALOGUE USA

You are bidding on a sold out, limited edition 7 lp+12" box set by spanish
conductor Ataulfo Argenta titled "Ataulfo Argenta Edition". The catalog
number is Alto Analog 1-0260.
Raved about by Stereophile the sound on these records is stunning and
includes a 45 rpm pressing of Falls's "El Sombrero Tres Picos."
The set has been remastered at EMI's abbey road studios in London by
nick webb, using the original master tapes flown over specially from
spain for the project. This set includes the seven album jackets, which
are packed separately from the lp's. The seven lp's are in their
original sleeves and wrapped separately from the jackets. Set also
includes 12 page descriptive booklet. The present boxed set of lp's
consists of works by various spanish composers recorded by Argenta for
spanish columbia shortly before his untimely death. Some performances
like Falla's "nights" with soriano, and the "concierto de aranjuez' with
yepes are very famous. Others like the "halffter sinfonietta", Argenta's
last recording, are rare, fetching high prices secondhand in specialist
lp shops. The records in this hard to find box set are in pristine
condition and is extremely collectible.
