Description
Only two years before, however, he was the lead member of a very different group ... a fuzzed-out, hard-hitting, organ-riddled psychedelic band called, of all things, Atilla.
This band rose from the ashes of his '60's band The Hassles that had come direct to the public from (wait for it) Hicksville High School.
There were only two members in Atilla, Joel and the drummer Jon Smalls, but this didn't stop them from producing an album that could stand tall with much of the hard-psych of the time.
Billy Joel is much less-enthused, calling it "Psychedelic bullshit". Joel however held his own on this album with the likes of Deep Purple, Quatermass, Warhorse or Uriah Heep.
