Please, allow me to introduce myself quoting another old rock cliché: maybe I am too young on eBay but too old into this triptych of buy, sell and trade records as I’ve not only been a dedicated follower of collecting but a co-owner of second hand record shops, an A&R executive at record companies, a chief editor in music magazines, a radio dj etc for the last 30 years in Greece! So, this is an original copy, and NOT the later 180g remasterd pressing by Pure Pleasure Records in 2013, of the rare original double vinyl issue of Cassandra Wilson's "New Moon Daughter" album that was marketed and distributed by Intercord Record Service, issued under licence from Capitol Record, Inc. and was pressed in true audiophile sound quality ONLY in the United Kingdom by Blue Note Records in April of 1996 - a period of time when the cds ruled the game - with the catalog # 7243 8 37183 1 3 and Matrix No 8371831 A+01-1-1 [A side], 8371831 B-01-1-1[B side], 8371831 C-01-1-1[Cside] and 8371831 D-01-1-1[D side]. A great blend of jazz, pop and country blues - cover-versions of tunes made famous by U2, Neil Young, The Monkees, Hank Williams, Robert Johnson and others - plus self-written tracks recorded with different line-ups basically performing on acoustic instruments, "New Moon Daughter" is not only one of the finest female-vocal albums ever made but also an incredible experience for your stereo system too !!! Deleted upon release, this must - have item for every devoted fan of the incredible performer that Cassandra Wilson is, does not get offered up so often! So, do not miss …
