LP-Title: Aaron Neville – Warm Your Heart

This is the original and rare pressing from 1991 on A&M Records, 397 148-1, made in Holland by Polygram. Lovely recorded and mixed by George Massenburg, mastered by Doug Sax at the Mastering Lab in L.A., making this record a true audiophile masterpiece. It’s easy to find a CD of this, but the number of vinyl-pressings was pretty low and it’s hard to track an original copy. From intimate small line-ups to full orchestra plus choir and band: this record will surely “warm your heart”, there are so many beautiful songs by A.Toussaint, B.Bacharach, Randy Newman, John Hiatt a.o. Top-musicians and an incredible audiophile sound, one of the best in the pop/soul field, highly recommended.

Condition: the album has many quiet parts and it’s hard to find a copy playing in mint- all of the time, even if it looks mint-. It took me a long time to find a real mint- copy for my own collection. That's why I have listened very carefully to the whole album from the beginning to the end to give you a complete and honest description.

The record looks mint-/mint-- in daylight and ex in artificial light, only under a strong light you’ll see several light papersleeve- and hairlines, so I lower the overall visual grading to: ex-/vg++.

The music plays with some occasional tics, mostly behind the music, between the tracks and in quieter parts. Both sides play in mint--/ex++ most of the time: side 1 in more than 90 % and side 2 nearly all of the time except for a few seconds. I think an overall conservative playgrading as “ex- to vg++” is justified.

The cover’s front has a few tears/rubs, please check the photo, vg for the front. The back is absolutely fine. All seams/spine are intact, just a few tiny spots with rub. Due to the front overall cover-grading as ex--/vg++.

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record under a strong light

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

• cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !
