A Must Have For All Audiophile Music Lovers
Side One :
1. CARAVAN is Ed’s interpretation of The Caravan Drum Solo-a traditional vehicle for drummers -- a traditional vehicle for drummers --assisted by Earl Hines on piano and Wesley Brown, bass.
Side Two :
1. SONIC INVENTIONS is Ed Graham’s original composition, a bow to you, the audiophile. It is a coherent musical statement designed to stretch your system’s capabilities to their outer limits. Combining virtuosity with coloration and taste, it displays Ed in action with drum rudiments. Mallet work, cymbals, triangles and bells.
One day, Ed Graham would like to be a part of a Chicago-style jazz band including the likes of Wild Bill Davison, Kenny Davern and Peanuts Hucko.
Ed Graham plays Slingerland drums and Avedis Zildjian cymbals with regal Ti sticks and Saul Goodman by Colato mallets.
ED GRAHAM gets around. All over his drum set and throughout the world of percussion. For three seasons with the Miami Symphony Orchestra, under conductors including Villa Labos and Stravinsky. For ten years he performed in every major oasis in Las Vegas.
And now roaming the world as a featured artist with Earl “Fatha” Hines and his mighty minstrels. Earlier, Ed backed Elvis Presley and Anita O’ Day, conducted for Roberta Sherwood and Kaye Stevens, and propelled the Village Stompers.
Here Ed Graham stretches out to demonstrate the skill, drive and enthusiasm that have earned him standing ovations everywhere .
