LP-Title: Earl ”Fatha” Hines Presents: Ed Graham - “Hot Stix”

Original German Teldec pressing from 1978 on M&K Realtime Records, RT-106. Limited Edition, Direct-To-Disc recording, 45 rpm. Classic high-end record, recommended by high-endaudio.com and it’s also on the TAS list. Side 1:Caravan (E.Graham-drums, E.Hines-piano, W.Brown-bass.) Side 2:Sonic Inventions (E.Graham-drums). Audiophile masterpiece and together with the Sheffield Drum Record the cleanest, tightest and most dynamic drum recording ever made.

Condition: the record looks mint- to mint-- on side 1, it looks ex++ on side 2, only under a strong light you can see a few harmless superficial marks, of course they are not feelable and not audible: I've listened very carefully to the complete record, wich has many silent parts - both sides play in mint- all the time !

The cover has intact seams, there's no rub on the top-seam and just a little at the bottom-seam, the spine has a little more wear but you can read all letterings & numbers, front & back are fine except for a little rub from a removed sticker on the front at the “ O “ in the “Hot Stix”-lettering (pl. see picture to see how minimal this is), overall ex--.

Grading & Cleaning:

  • the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

  • after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

  • I also visually graded the record under a strong light

  • only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

  • cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !

  • alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und akkustisch & optisch bewertet. Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !
