This auction is for an LP. Cook's Tour of High Fidelity. The sleeve is in VG+ condition. Previous owner wrote something on the lower left corner. The vinyl is in EX condition. Looks like it was never listened to. Cook Labs #COOK 1079B COOK'S TOUR OF HIGH FIDELITY will make most people laugh, some people cry, and a few mill blow their gaskets. FEARLESS! An uninhibited examination of the seamy backstage of audioland tells the bittersweet truth.
SIDE B is an altogether excessive compendium of sounds collected in this world and out of it. It may be used as a handy do-it-yourself kit for building soap operas at home or it may be despised passively. Listeners may be surprised (we were! ) at some of the scenes that can be imagined. PROGRAM: Big Gong, Cat & Dog Fight, typewriter, door slam, footsteps, thunder, rain and fire engines rifle shot, car door slam & getaway siren, Organ ("You're the cream in my coffee"), Pouring, Swallowing, Crashing glass.
DREAM SEQUENCE: Jungle birds, Dream talk, Giant baby, giant tears. Door slam, Piano & crashes, telephone bell, telephone dialing & answer, Knock, walking, knock. PLUS scintillating series of oily soap operatic announcements and gooey organ cue music.
