Visually Grading as follow :

M : A near perfect, probably unplayed record.

NM : Record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Only well cared records will grade NM. It will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.

NM- : Very clean, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or very light surface marks, which will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition.

VG++ : Record surface may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches/hairlines that do not affect the overall listening experience.

VG+ : A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG : Significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
