AUGUSTUS PABLO King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown YARD MUSIC LP Vinyl.

Very rare early Jamaican pressing of this landmark dub LP on the Yard label.

Matrix numbers (hand etched) are:

Side A: D.S.R 8225 A. D.T. A PabLo LP

Side B: D.S.R 8226 B. D.T. A PabLo LP

Errors on sleeve and labels. Sleeve has New York record shop (V P Records) sticker and a “Made In Jamaica” stamp. Textured un-laminated cardboard sleeve.

This is an early Jamaican pressing dating from around 1977.

The vinyl has 1 or 2 exceptionally light paper removal scuffs when viewed under bright light. These have no impact on the sound which is bright and clear throughout. This really is a superb pressing and in great condition.

The labels are immaculate and it’s barely been played. Vinyl grades EX+

The sleeve is also EX. It has a “Made In Jamaica” hand stamped on the front and some very very light ring wear. The back has the missing track “Satta” written in, in pencil. Neither the labels or the sleeve correctly list the tracks. Also on the rear is a sticker for VP records which is still in business today (although at a different address) and who are a well known record shop in New York specialising in Jamaican music.

This really is a superb copy of one of the most ground breaking dub LPs of all time.
