AUGUSTUS PABLO - King Tubbys meets rockers uptown YARD orig Jamaican LP
The time has come to bite the bullet and sell more of my vinyl collection - some classical, some jazz, some pop, rock, folk & psych. I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or the next generation, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. The hard work is deciding what to let go first, but it will probably be duplicates, stuff I have on CD and items unplayed for ages. You never know, there might just be something to suit your taste.

The Album:
A dub classic mixed at King Tubby's studio & distributed from Kingston Jamaica.
Condition:
Cover: Single sleeve, unlaminated, is solid and intact with some light shelf wear to edges. The rear is a bit shabby looking - I think that when originally printed the sleeves must have been stacked whilst the ink was still damp, so the rear of this one has picked up some red and green ink smudges from the front of the copy underneath. I always saw it as adding some authentic charm, and the sleeve is fine apart from that.
Labels: Original Yard Music labels are also lightly smudged in places, but clean and legible with just a few light spindle marks, no writing or stickers.
Vinyl: Nice vinyl with good lustre. No obvious scratches, just the customary very faint paper scrapes. Plays very well with just an occasional background crackle which might improve with a good clean (I have never cleaned this record, so there will be a build up of dust in the grooves)..
Overall:
A fine original copy of this album with a quaint amateurish charm - I'd guess that this might be professionally graded at (cover / vinyl) VG/EX.

Postage: Approximate prices - UK £3.00 for 1 or 2 LPs, Europe £5.20 + £1.80 each additional, Rest of world £8.30 + £3.70 each additional item - these amounts include estimated actual Royal Mail cost for first class or air mail, plus 40p for cost of packaging material (a brand new custom mailer with stiffener). Happy to combine shipments subject to Royal mail limits.
