Here is a vintage LP record album from my collection offered up for sale: An AUTHENTIC Vee Jay lp album by the THE BEATLES released in 1964 "SONGS PICTURES STORIES"  on Vee Jay records VJ-1092. This is an original 1964 pressing with the all black VJ block letter logo style lables.  Vee Jay records were the first company in the U.S. to offer a Beatles album after Capitol records balked at British artists doing well in the states. The band's success here changed all that and Vee Jay was ultimately forced to stop selling the "Introducing the Beatles" album. Rather than destroy the their back stock of records they continued to sell them in this cool new packaging with a gatefold cover and a new title (Song's Pictures and Stories of the fabulous Beatles )and number(VJ-1092 on cover only). They were quickly back in court with more lawsuits and were forced to stop ALL sales in ANY cover by early 1965! This is why record buyers in late 1964 opened their new VJ-1092 "Songs Pictures and Stories" album to find an "Introducing the Beatles" VJ-1062 record inside!  This still confuses record collectors to this day but is a historic find in the Beatles in the USA story!

The record grades EX, is super clean and glossy, only a few very light marks on each side, nothing heavy, has been very well cared for! Has been PLAY TESTED, plays great from start to finish with excellent sound quality, minimal surface noise and a VERY enjoyable listen! The cover rates strong VG+, minimal edge wear, no splits, bottom seam neatly repaired at center, No signatures or writing. faint crease at lower right corner, Binder edge solid and still readable! Has original red Vee Jay inner sleeve. (repaired edges).  (see all photos). Rare pressing and great playing relic!!! Note: Beware of counterfeits titled "Songs and Pictures" as opposed to "Songs Pictures AND STORIES"  NO RESERVE PRICE! LOW OPENING BID! GOOD LUCK! 


Will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve inside a secure record mailing box with tracking number. The vinyl will be shipped in a throw away paper sleeve outside the cover to prevent splits.
