Description

Back in the 1980s I went to the NYC record shows and met this old hippie couple who sold cool 1960's garage discs. They told me they were going to Texas and had a chance to meet Roky Erickson and spend some time with him. They asked me if I wanted his autograph and I said sure and gave them this 45. Two months later they returned it with Roky's signature on the "Tried To Hide" side, not the "You're Gonna Miss Me" side. I had written my name and address on the white paper sleeve I gave with the record to the old hippies. I had also written that I was the world's biggest 13th Floor Elevators fan. So Roky wrote: to the worlds biggest Elevators fan to Jeff Roky E. Erickson". Why am I selling something so cool? Don't ask. I wouldn't if I didn't need to, believe me. Both sides play great. Ask any questions before bidding, no foreign bids.
