Description
Original AUTOGRAPHED JOHNNY CASH ALBUM. ALL ABOARD THE BLUE TRAIN. SUN LP 1270 issued in 1963. Cover is VG+. No seam splits, tape, etc. Slightly bumped bottom right corner. Back Cover has some aging and the written info. about the autograph as shown. Vinyl is VG+ / VG++ with a few light needle marks only. Labels are clean. Includes Letter of Authenticity from JSA ( James Spence Authentication ). Payment expected within 3 days of auction ending.
I acquired this album and many other autographed LP's ( Everly Brothers, Vassar Clements, Hank Williams Jr. etc. ) from the Estate of a gentlemen who was a huge fan of all forms of Country / Bluegrass music. Most of the albums including this one were autographed in the 60's and 70's. These Johnny Cash Albums were Autograped at The Boston Arena in 1964.
FYI - The notation on the back of the album refers to "The Grand Ol' Opry" at (Boston Arena ). This ~ 5,000 seat arena opened in 1910 and is the oldest multi-purpose arena in the world. It's older than Fenway Park, which is pretty close to it. It's been home to the Boston Bruins (first game, Dec. 1, 1924), Boston Celtics (Chuck Connors, also known as The Rifleman, smashed the glass backboard in their first game on Nov. 5, 1946), Northeastern hockey and several other Boston pro hockey teams.
