Description
THE AVERAGE WHITE BAND : "SHOW YOUR HAND" LP
MCA MCF 2514
1974 UK Pressing
The Average White Band derived from Scotland, growing out of an early version of the horn section known as "The Dundee Horns". They gained recognition after playing on Johnny Nash's 1972 reggae hit song "I Can See Clearly Now" ... but their rise to stardom came following support from Eric Clapton and Bonnie Bramlett (of Delaney & Bonnie). "Show Your Hand" is their well received debut album.
Matrix numbers etched in the dead wax read:
Side 1 : MCF 2514 A-1
Side 2 : MCF 2514 B-1
Vinyl: EX
Superb sound quality on this well recorded album.
Plays just a wee bit shy of "like new", with only traces of surface noise ("crackle") audible between some tracks and during a very few quiet passages. Superficial, light paper scuffs/hairlines visible under bright light but have no discernible impact on the listening experience.
Exceptionally high gloss remains.
Labels are clean and bright, look "like new".
Includes original "Made In England" inner sleeve, in EX condition.
(SEE PHOTOS)
Jacket: NM-
Jacket front and back color art work & text are rich and sharp, overall clean and bright.
Nice gloss remains.
Traces of ring wear and a few shallow creases present.
Solid seams and spine, nearly flawless. No splits.
Spine print (and additional print on one seam) is crystal clear.
Fun Fact: Characteristic of UK releases of that era, in addition to the traditional print on the spine, this LP has "spine print" also printed on the top seam (see third to last photo), enabling customers to identify the LP from above when stored vertically in the record store bin facing forward with the spine to the side.

My Profile / Policies:
Note: I've qualified for the "Top Rated Plus" seal from eBay, awarded to sellers who consistently deliver outstanding customer service.
Music is my passion. I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll. Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.
All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.
Wax is play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.
As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.
All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.
International customers pay shipping costs and duties per the eBay Global Shipping Program guidelines.
Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
