A very beautiful album from Collegium Terpsichore, that features lovely period dances from the Renaissance.
Better sounding recordings you will not find, as one dance after another from Praetorius, Widmann, and Schein seem to whirl around your listening room. A great sense of space is offered, with definition so acute, if you have the ear, you could probably name the makers of each and every instrument.
Among the most delightful TAS picks available, the Praetorius dances here are the exact performances, pressed very well indeed: Here in an envelope sleeve without fault; heavy platter within will play near mint. (Amongst the heaviest platters Archiv ever pressed, in fact. Far heavier than 198 166. Trust me.)
Absolutely stunning sound quality, second to none.
