Year made: 1993 (music from 1970)

This little known outfit appear to have come from Northampton and at the turn of the decade supported acts such as Free and The Who. They also recorded an acetate album in 1970, the tapes for which have subsequently resurfaced which show Axe to a competent psych-prog act. The album features some fine discordant and phased guitar work, particularly on Abinam Take II, which also uses phasing to great effect and Another Sunset, Another Dawn. Other cuts are quieter, with the female vocals in a Jefferson Airplane / Art Of Lovin / Peanut Butter Conspiracy mould, particularly effective on their cover of Love's A House Is Not A Motel.
