Description
Aaron Drake's mouthpieces are well known in the saxophone community and are endorsed by some of the best players around. This mouthpiece is in mint condition and is the Vintage Resin Contemporary II, which you can see in the pic 'VRCT II' engraved on the piece. This mouthpiece is not currently available from Drake, but plays similar to the VRCT I. I've seen these go for upwards of $400 so here is an opportunity to get one for a reasonable price. This piece does not come with a ligature or cap. Here is the explanation of the Model I from Drake's site . . .
These high baffle mouthpieces are designed for players looking for the ability to cut through and be heard, while still maintaining a balance overtone series. This model features a high baffle with a graduated chamber transition and large chamber, similar to the Guardala Brecker I. Great for R&B, Rock and Roll, and Contemporary Jazz Fusion.
