Aaron Frazer Introducing
description DetailsFor his aptly titled debut solo album "Introducing ...", Aaron Frazer worked with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. Softly spoken and blessed with the look of a slightly dissatisfied matinee idol from the 1950s, Frazer possesses a unique voice that sounds both contemporary and timeless. The Baltimore-raised, Brooklyn-based songwriter became known as the drummer and co-vocalist of Durand Jones & The Indications. Now he steps forward as a soloist behind the drum kit with "Introducing ..." and demonstrates not only his impressive vocal qualities, but also his ability as a high-class songwriter. The first single "Bad News" caused a sensation ("a gorgeous piece of vintage R&B" - CLASH), the lead single "Over You" was inspired by the electrifying Northern Soul 45s of the 60s. Just two examples of the successful collaboration between Frazer and Auerbach. The twelve songs on "Introducing ..." skillfully combine the soul of the 70s with Dan Auerbach's special sensitivity for vintage sounds in a new guise. "Introducing ..." contains classic message songs in the style of artists like Gil Scott-Heron as well as motivating love songs that are infused with disco, gospel and doo-wop influences. The entire album was recorded in just a week at Auerbach's famous Nashville studio after a quick and productive songwriting session. Auerbach also brought legendary songwriter and falsetto specialist L. Russell Brown (previously wrote hits for Frankie Valli of The Four Seasons) on board, who featured the wonderful opener "You Don't Wanna Be My Baby" on the album. For "Introducing ..." Frazer recruited an impressive group of long-time session musicians from Nashville. Including members of the legendary Memphis Boys (who played in Dusty Springfield's "Son of A Preacher Man" and Aretha Franklin's "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman"), the percussionist Sam Bacco and various musicians from the Daptone / Big Crown Records environment .

about us
Our founding year 1998 - long after vinyl was declared dead and long before vinyl was hailed as cool again - proves that we are real vinyl nerds. We only started out as a small record dealer from home. Later we opened our first real record shop and then of course our own online shop. Everything with passion and always with the motto: SAVE THE VINYL. What is not available online is available in our Übersee store, Frühlingsweg 22. Overseas? Yes. Übersee Am Chiemsee. Right on the A8 autobahn, between Munich and Salzburg. Here you will also find a fine range of second-hand vinyl. We also have a large selection of equipment from many manufacturers. Simply everything you need for everything to do with vinyl...
