Description
This is a VERY EARLY UK pressing of "Abbey Road" which is considered by many to be one of the definitive pressings of this iconic record. It is identifiable by both the matrices (-2/-1) and the lack of "Her Majesty" on the track listing-- but not on the record itself!
Sleeve- Glossy and nice, but has some wear/ writing (see picture of back). The bottom is taped together slightly with little pieces of tape... (which I never noticed until taking pictures.)
Vinyl- VISUALLY mint. I do not have a turntable at the moment for a playtest, but I recall this record having some inner groove distortion, which was probably due to a previous owner having a misaligned cartridge. The first few tracks were nearly perfect, but around halfway through each side some sibilance would emerge. More an annoyance than anything, the sound of this early, UK pressing is still noticeably spectacular.
