Description
This absolutely megare album by the UK folk/psych group Accolade is titled "Accolade 2".
The UK group Accolade were an acoustic band formed in 1969 and included Don Partridge and Gordon Giltrap. Giltrap left after the first album.They disbanded in 1971 after releasing this their second album.
Players on the album are Don Partridge, Brian Cresswell, Malcolm Poole Ian Hoyle and Wizz Jones. Wizz Jones plays acoustic guitar on four tracks and one of the songs is by Gordon Giltrap.
The long [nearly 12 minutes] "Cross Continental Pandemonium Theatre Company" is a real dazzler. The track "transworld blues" is another great track.
The album is an acoustic only mixture of vocals backed by guitar, flute alto sax, fiddle, piano and drums. The flute playing is quite to the fore a bit like the acoustic Jethro Tull.
It is an original UK 1971 issue on the red regal zonophone label in a Garrod & Lofthouse flip back laminated cover.
The catalogue number is SLRZ 1024.
The disc is in excellent condition.
The cover is in VG+ condition with only minor negligible agewear. It is a very clean looking cover.
