Acetate 12-inch Metal Base disc 78rpm single sided

Rehearsal Record for Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC)

“South Of Panama” 1941

song is

“Madame Will Drop Her Shawl”

written by Sam Browne & Herb Pine Music recorded by Alberto Colombo sung on camera by Virginia Vale (playback)

not sure if somebody else recorded the song for Virginia or if it's her own voice?

Disc Condition: VG+/E- for sound quality! Light white power on flip side which is blank.

I wiped off surface side and most of the white power played itself out of the grooves, great clear sound!

The acetate was recorded by VA-CO Disc F.L. Cook,

606 Parkman Avenue, Los Angeles CA. White grease pencil

indicates take or disc number of #WT-101

SIDE NOTE:

Many years ago I bought a 16mm print of the film

“South Of Panama” the print was an original reduction

print on Kodak stock from 1941 year of films release!

Until the other day, I never looked in under the cardboard

square inside the old shipping case the film reels came in.

Sure enough there it was this Rehearsal record for

the scene in the movie! So I am guessing that the print

and the record belonged to Virginia Vale? PS you don't

get the print too, that's just part of the story of

the origin of this acetate.
