Description

Adorable. Against Perfection 12” Vinyl LP. Creation Records.

crelp 138. VG+ / VG+. First Release. 1993.

I managed to win an eBay auction this weekend for a copy of this record in better condition than mine so I am now selling my original copy to offset the price of my new one.

This is one of my favourite records of the era. I purchased this copy second hand not long after release and it was in near mint condition then.

Visually the vinyl is in excellent condition. There is a slight blemish on Sistine Chapel Ceiling (Track One Side 2 - see last photo) if you look hard enough for it. It doesn’t jump out at you - nor does it affect play in any way. As it is really sunny today I have come outside in the shade to take the photos of the record. Obviously the reflections of the trees are not on the vinyl but hopefully the photos show you how clean the vinyl is.

The sleeve has a shop sticker on the front. I have not tried to remove it. It may come off - it may cause some damage and I don’t want to take that risk. The outer sleeve is in VG+ condition. There are no creases or tears but there is slight edge wear and multiple light creases emanating along the edges. The inner sleeve is in near mint condition.

The vinyl is playgraded as Very Good Plus. There is light crackle between most tracks and in quieter starts and endings most notably Glorious Track 1 Side 1. However the rest of the songs pretty much play as Excellent. There is little or no sound deterioration during louder moments. Overall though I think it is fairer to describe as VG+. If you want perfection and personally I am against it (ho ho) , this is not the record for you. If you want a cheaper copy of the original first release then this is definitely a great option.

I will package this record in a used designated vinyl mailer, in a polythene protective 12” sleeve with a stiffener for added protection during transit.

Postage quoted is for U.K. only. I will post overseas but only by International tracked and signed for service. Overseas bidders should contact me prior to the auction end for a postage quote to your country. I will not provided a refund for any incompetence by national postage services. I will of course provide proof of postage.
