Adorable Against Perfection Vinyl LP 1st UK Pressing 1993 Crelp 138. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
This record was bought by me in Plymouth in 1993 - I think from Purple Haze, maybe. Played once, maybe twice at most, and then filed away for nearly 30(!) years. At the time I didn’t get it and didn’t like it, but was clearly a cloth-eared idiot as decades later the older me realised that it is actually brilliant.
So, this is a chance to buy an original UK pressing of this great record.
As noted above this record was only ever played once or twice so would normally be a top-end VG+ or even a NM. However, there was a period when this record was stored without a dust-proof outer jacket so there is some surface noise when the run-in groove on each side hits the content. Normally this would not be noticeable but side one starts with a classic Creation Records reverb-on-top-of-reverb quiet bit so I’m taking the discogs average price of £61.66 down to £50.
The cover is very good condition for a near 30 year record (sorry to keep banging on about those three decades - but it’s making me feel very old). There is some front sleeve - top middle ring wear and a price label adhesive mark (both in photos provided) - there are also a number of left border white creases (again in photos provided).
Finally, this LP has been in a non-PVC outer cover and the record itself in a replacement non-PVC inner sleeve for about ten years but these will be replaced with a new non-PVC outer sleeve by Big Fudge and a new Non-PVC inner sleeve from Covers33 after a pre-dispatch clean with Clear Vinyl solution.
The original card inner sleeve/bag is included and in Excellent condition and will be packed for dispatch alongside the replacement inner sleeve.
