Description
The disc is clean and shiny, unmarked, condition Near Mint. The sleeve is also fine, marked only with small at bottom of rear cover (see photo) condition Near Mint. Is this the beginning of Garbarek's long partnership with ECM? Looks like. A quartet of musicians who recorded a lot with ECM, often under their own name. Garbarek plays tenor sax, bass sax (!), clarinet, flutes, and percussion. Terje Rypdal plays guitar and bugle. Arild Andersen plays double bass, "African thump piano" probly a kalimba, and xylophone. Jon Christensen plays percussion. Eight tracks, all credited to members of quartet, range from 1 to 12 minutes. Recorded in Oslo studio, although photos suggest an event at community center.
