This is not just an album; it is an incredible audio documentary pressed to wax. It compiles raw field recordings, liberation anthems, and traditional sounds captured directly from the frontlines of the anti-colonial struggles in Africa. Because these were originally manufactured in very limited quantities for political solidarity and educational networks, original clean copies are hard to track down today.  Tracklist & Audio Highlights
  • FRELIMO Songs from Mozambique: Performed by students of the Bagamoyo Secondary School.

LSM members traveled directly into liberated zones, conducting extensive interviews and capturing field recordings. This record serves as a vital historical window into the cultural ownership and resistance of the era, documenting how music was consciously weaponized as a tool for decolonization and mental liberation. The stark, powerful cover art—depicting a freedom fighter holding both her child and an automatic rifle—remains one of the most iconic images of Third World liberation movements.
