Description
This is a copy of L'Afrique Danse SD13 ' Orchestre Stukas' (aka Stuka Boys). 1979. The Stukas were the backing group formed by Lita Bembo whose 'distinctively wild' vocal style can be heard on this record. Originally the band did James brown covers but eventually landed a residency at the prestigious Para Fifi Club in Kinshasa. Unfortunately their lead guitarist died in the late 70's from hepatitis aged 23. The music is quite raw, the recording quality isn't great but I reckon that it communicates some of the excitement that their live shows were famed for. Great stuff!!!! Not easy to find.
Side 1 seems ok. Side 2 has 2 small very light scratchmarks.

I am selling a proportion of my African vinyl LPS. There is music from Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, S.Africa, Zimbabwe and west Africa plus a few from N. Africa. The periods covered are from the 1950's to 1990's. Some were available or produced in UK but many of these are so uncommon or rare that it was a case of 'buy on sight'.
I was interested in the music. The condition of sleeve, paper cover and,to a degree, the condition of the record weren't as important as the music. I knew that what I liked wasn't going to come up again in a hurry. I am not able to do professional grading like the dealers as I am only an enthusiast. It is probably best to assume that my LPs will be 2nd/3rd/4th hand and of average condition only. For all the other things like condition of sleeve then please see photos. I am happy however to answer any questions you may have. If I can't see any faults I'll list the record as 'OK'.
CONDITION: SEE PHOTOS. Some of the records I bought new but many were came from dealers or markets. As far as condition is concerned all have been played, some more than others and yes there will be dings and scratches. I will try and list the main faults. I started to photograph the records to show scratches but it doesn't work. I CAN ONLY VISUALLY GRADE THE RECORDS. I will not be selling anything that I know to be unplayable but if you need further details about anything then please let me know before bidding.
POSTAGE: I will send worldwide. Anything with a value of more than £20 GB will be insured or tracked. Please ask for a cost. I will combine postage and send an invoice. PUT ANY MULTIPLE PURCHASES IN 'YOUR BASKET' FIRST RATHER THAN PAYING SEPARATELY. Particularly so if the items go through Ebay Global Shipping.
Postage in UK is £3.50 for 1 pack with 1 LP unless the value is over £20 then it will be 'Signed For' at £4.75.(insured for upto £50). 'Guaranteed by 1pm tracked' (insured upto £500) is £8.50. 2 LPs in one box will cost £4.75 'Signed For', 'Guaranteed by 1pm tracked' (insured upto £50) is £9.95.
International postage will be different.- 1LP to Germany tracked and signed is £11.75,
USA respectively £14.50
Also note that on Customs Forms I will only put the sum you bought the item(s) for. The buyer is responsible for any customs duty.
PACKAGING: The items will be sent in professional vinyl LP packaging. I can get upto 3 LPs in 1 pack which in UK will post for £3.50 if value under £20 and £4.75 if value between £20 and £50.
