Description

Great Seventies Afro Jazz LP from South Africa. Bea Benjamin with Dollar Brand "African Songbird" on Gallo (GL 1839) - South African Pressing. Released in 1976 but is contains no traces of fusion. Cover VG++ (would be NM- but the laminate cover has started to peel in a few small spots), Record is NM-. The track "Africa" is a killer afro jazz tune with a percussion heavy, funky groove with a message of returning home to africa. Vocals are in English. Very good spirtual jazz LP from Africa and very rare. I'm still unsure how this one ended up in Texas.
