You are bidding on a rare test pressing of Reinventing Axl Rose, Against Me's first full-length release. There were several different rounds of test pressings done for this record; this is from the first round of test pressings, of which only 8-12 were ever made. These were made before the first pressing was released, and the mix was rejected. There was then a second round of test pressings done, as well as a "B-side only" test pressing. After quite a few pressings of this album were released, and the pressing plant needed to create new pressing plates, there was a final round of test pressings that were made (you have probably seen quite a few of these on eBay; they are the ones that come in either a red or blue silk-screened sleeve).
This test pressing is from the "first round, rejected version" group, so it is one of the first twelve copies of this LP ever pressed! I am the second owner of the record. The first owner purchased it directly from No Idea Records. This one came with what I would call a "mock-up" of the cover art. It is a printed front and back LP cover cut apart. I don't know if all of the first round test pressings came like this, and I haven't seen one of these on eBay for several years, but I was told that it came directly from the label like this. The vinyl is in great condition, and the vinyl and sleeve have several No Idea Records stamps on them.
