Description
First pressing of what many consider to be the defining recording of Ahmad Jamal's distinctive style. The vinyl shows very light surface scratches, but for a 1958 pressing, this album is really in exceptional shape. Jacket shows storage wear, but again for a 1958, it's in pretty good shape. "Rene 1959" is written in fine ink pen in upper right hand corner of back side of jacket. Sleeve is original in decent shape as well.
This is the desirable MONO black label version of this Argo release. I do not have the ability to sound test any of the albums I have, but based on visual appearance, I can't imagine that this album plays poorly even on the most resolving systems. Please read my feedback for other LPs sold and bid with confidence.
