Akwassa- La'ila AFRODISIA DWAPS 54 (NIGERIA)
visual grade: Vg some superficial scuffs, nothing deep, a little bit luck of lustre play grade: Vg/Vg+ plays great ! labels: clean ! cover: G+ no ring wear on front (1st copy i ever saw with no ring wear) but some dirt and a stamp on back, intact
conservative grading
comments: afro funk can't get any better or heavier ! Akwassa 1st album from 1975, a key group on the emerging afro funk Nigerian scene, with members active also with another legendary funk outfit: Heads Funk Band. fantastic pressing/loud cut (exactly the opposite of the recent poor reissue) ! rare one, only offered twice on ebay in around 15 years and one copy was in G condition; check funky girl, be yrself (yo ! baaaad stuff), orule, laila, i don't want nobody
