Description

I am listing a few Lee Perry connected singles this week. These are from 74/75 when he was just opening the Black Ark. He needed money so he was working with anyone who could pay. Micron records used his services on many occasions - most of which do not even credit Perry.
There are two main sources for information on Lee Perry Smokeyroom - at Smokeyroom.net and Jeremy Collingwood's book "Kiss Me Neck". They disagree about some of these records and this is one of them. This is Al Bell's "Baby Lue"
Jeremy says this doesn't have the distinctive Ark sound but I disagree - for me this has the classic bass drum thud of ark tracks - listen to the sound clip particularly the dub and you decide.    http://www.divshare.com/download/14900045-cea
The label on this is pretty much faultless but most micron pressings are a bit hissy/crackly and this one is no exception. Thats is the reason for the low starting price. It plays well throughout.
I will combine postage for those who buy more than one record
Please buy with confidence I have 100% feedback and plan to keep it
The postage costs below are accurate for the UK - the listings for the rest of the world only allow me to give 1 price - please get in touch for a more accurate price. I keep thse costs as low as possible
If you have less than 10 feedback you must get in touch before bidding or the bids will be removed
