Description

This is Prestige/Bluesville Records BVLP1001, Al Smith Hear My Blues, a blue, deep groove Bergenfield NJ label, original mono issue of this classic record with RVG stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG++, showing some light sleeve marks, keeping it from being near mint.The record plays quietly throughout. Although this is a US manufactured record, it was shipped to Europe because there is a notation on the back cover that the record is distributed in Europe by Interdisc. This is a beautiful sounding copy featuring classic Rudy Van Gelder sound. The laminated cover has some edge wear and a small tear on the back but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show light spindle marks. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode.
