Description

This is part of a big auction of 45's from several small 1950's label that I'm running this week. Take a look at these and keep an eye out for an all-rockabilly auction starting 9/25 and an all Los Angeles label auction (Modern/RPM/Imperial, etc.) in October

Release: Sonny Knight - Lonesome Shadows / But Officer

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1953


Notes: Hard to find original pressing. The only single released by Knight, both sides on this are tremendous. A side is more of a slow blues and the B side is an uptempo R&B with subversive lyrics that would still ring true today.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, play area vinyl is in great shape with no noticeable scratches or scuffs, almost no wear at all. There are some super-fine marks visible when held in angled light and some in the runoff. Both sides play very well with almost no background noise at all. No pops/ticks/skips, etc. Labels are very nice with original gloss and no writing/tears, just the tiniest bit of ring scuffing.  See pics, but this is a really nice copy overall.
