Description
This very rare UK folk LP by UK folk singer Alasdair Clayre is his self titled album. It is an original UK 1967 pressing on the dark orange elektra label in fully laminated cover. It was produced by joe boyd.
Alasdair Clayre was a very talented folk artist, author and broadcaster, he took his own life in 1985 by jumping in front of a train on the London underground. He only recorded two albums, his 1967 first album on auction here and a later one in the 1976 titled "Adam and the Beasts". One of his songs titled "Train Song" was recorded by Vashti Bunyan.
The disc is in excellent condition.
The fully laminated cover has some agewear comprising some superficial seamwear and creases/cracking near the spine on the front and back and some lesser creasing near the seams. It is a VG cover, not excellent but not bad at all for 40 years old.
