Albert Ayler ' My name is Albert Ayler ' FONTANA 688603 ZL (NETHERLANDS) blue-silver label - rec. in Copenhagen on January 14, 1963 - originally issued in Denmark in1964 on Debut label DEB 140 - this copy was made in Holland in the same year 1964 on Fontana labelOn the left side of back cover there is an ALBERT AYLER's AUTOGRAPH on the top and just below, very faded and barely readable, there is the DON CHERRY's AUTOGRAPH. Just further down, you can see the AUTOGRAPHS of GARY PEACOCK and SUNNY MURRAY. All autographs are written in blue ballpoint pen. The signatures were collected during the 1964 European tour of the Albert Ayler Quartet with Don Cherry, Gary Peacock and Sunny Murray. The tour touched also Holland and the first owner, from which I had this record some years ago, had the whole group signing this record's cover after a concert in that country. Don Cherry, Gary Peacock and Sunny Murray actually don't play in this record and the previous owner wrote the above mentioned names of the musicians who played at that concert on lower edge of back cover Albert Ayler : tenor, soprano sax - Niels Bronsted : piano - Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen : bass - Ronnie Gardiner : drums
