Description

Ornette Coleman  Trio  "Sadness" & Albert Ayler Quintet  "Holy Family"  ESP Disk 4506

Jazz from the mid Sixties when the term Avant Garde had a real resonance, or in this case dissonance. Ornette was already a legend in that small world when he was recorded at Town Hall.
Albert was newer and would only be around another 5 years. ESP released LPs featuring these tunes, under the leaders names. Gods and Fugs 45s pop up on the label, but the Jazz series of
singles is extremely scarce. As usual artistic graphics on the labels.
