Description
Sadly, these guys had it all wrong. Albino Gorilla's Detroit 1984 (Kama Sutra, 1970) prophecied a world of interracial love (or something resembling love) and the soundtrack to their quiet revolution was some seriously psychedelic soul. This record is mostly know for the track "Psychedelic Shack" - the drums and vocals have been sampled by A Tribe Called Quest ("Midnight"), Akinyele, Jurassic 5 ("Improvise") and Pete Rock and CL Smooth ("The Main Ingredient"). There are some other good, weird songs and funky interludes as well.
Everything is in great shape! The cover has a cut-out of a gorilla and part of the bottom has been punched out. But otherwise it is in really good shape given the type of cover.
