VERY RARE!!  Before there was Caedmon recording voices and poetry, there was The Harvard University Phonograph Records which produced "Vocarium".  From an Itunes listing of a few Vocarium records, "The word "vocarium" was coined by Harvard Professor Frederick C. Packard Jr. to suggest "a place where recordings of voices are kept and used for study and enjoyment." Under the Harvard Vocarium record label, Packard recorded some of the foremost poets of his time, including T.S. Eliot, Elizabeth Bishop, Robert Lowell, Ezra Pound and Marianne Moore."  These 10 78 RPMs are titled, Latin Readings Supplementary", with the notation in the accompanying booklet, "...spoken by members of the Harvard University Department of the Classics and others."  These readings were chosen and selected by Professor Edward Kennard Rand, and this was published in 1941.  The album shows wear to its spine - see photo.  All 10 sleeves with the records are in great shape.  There are no liner notes, only the accompanying booklet.  All 10 78 RPMs are in excellent condition - see the three photos for examples.  Given they are about 75 years old, I hesitate to use something like NM, but they look pristine and rarely played - few if any scratches and I'll rate them as VG++.  Note that these will need to be very carefully packaged for shipment.  My intention is to ship them in a 14" by 14" by 10" box and ship Priority.  Each record will be removed from its sleeve, put it in its own protective sleeve and sandwiched between cardboard with ample bubble wrap cushioning.  If live in the DC area and pickup is more than welcome.  Comes with an accompanying booklet, 89 pages with some bent pages - see photo for example.  But it is all present and securely staple bound, with no markings.  Please see photo of book's Table of Contents to see what is on these unique records.
