Description
Prestige Bluesville 1076, "Creepin' Blues" with Alec Seward, vocals and guitar; Larry Johnson, mouthharp. from 1963. Trident-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. Jacket has solid seams with light wear and no splits. There is light ringwear on the front at bottom, and some corner wear; jaket back is basically clean but has someone's name at upper left (see scan) along with a few pen marks. Songs are "Big Hip Mama", "Evil Woman Blues", "Goin' Down Slow", "Sweet Woiman", "Som People Say", "Creepin' Blues", "I Made a Mistake in Love", "Piney Woods", "Late One Saturday Evening", and "Let a Good Thing Do". Alec Seward was usually a sideman for people like Sonny & Brownie, but here he takes center stage. This is also one of Larry Johnson's first recordings. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
