In the next few weeks I’ll put on auction more than 500 great and rare records. Most records are true collector’s items. Have a look, it is worthwhile! Most of my vinyl comes from my own collection and is in great, collectible condition. If not, I’ll clearly describe the possible flaws or scuffs. Appr. 90% of my records are EX to Mint-. This collection contains many rare German and essential Kraut, Dutch psych and garage, UK and US progressive and folk, early electronic and psychedelic records from the period 1967 to 1975. Label matrix: 1972 US Warner Bros 2XS 1966

Condition Record/Sleeve:  EX+/EX   (TOP Condition. both records have a few very light hairlines, audio is EX+, Cover is very clean and unwritten with only a very small cut-out!)

Extra info: Great 2LP Set !! Very hard to get, especially in this condition !!

This 2LP set by Alexis korner is titled "bootleg him" it is an original U.S 1972 issue on the dark green WB label and comes in a roger dean gatefold sleeve with the original gatefold double sided printed photo/info insert.

In 1972 Alexis Korner was asked to get together a supersession of his former musicians, he refused, instead he made available original tapes of a few of his performances with the now defunct groups made between 1961 to 1967 but stipulated that the album of vintage tapes must be given away free with the scheduled album of more recent recordings. Therefore these two albums were packaged as one.

The free album provides an informative and entertaining chunk of British music history, inevitably the quality of the vintage tapes is not always perfect, but their authenticity is a compensation.

The artists on the set include robert plant, ginger baker, jack bruce, charlie watts, graham bond, dick heckstall-smith, alan skidmore, dave holland, andy fraser, paul rodgers, danny thompson, terry cox, john surman, chris mcgregor, victor broxx, lol coxhill, steve miller, ray warleigh, harold beckett, henry lowther Harold McNair, herbie flowers, Kenny Wheeler, Roy babbington.

The gatefold insert that comes with the disc is worth the price alone and includes rare photos and an informative profile of Alexis and the people he played with from the 1961 blues incorporates to CCS in the early 1970's. It includes a fascinating 1961 photograph of mick jagger fronting a band that includes Dave Stevens on piano, dick heckstall-smith on sax, Jack Bruce on bass, Charlie Watts on drums, cyril Davies on harmonica and alexis korner on guitar.

The inside of the gatefold sleeve includes a roots [family tree style] that charts all the groups and all the people he played with from the chris barber band in 1948 to CCS in 1972. It also includes recollections of keith richard, ian anderson, steve marriott, robert plant, eric burdon, cat stevens, graham bond of his influences on them or their times playing with him.
