Up for auction is a very rare 1930s 10” 78 rpm shellac record with recordings of Alexander Vertinsky with orchestral accompaniment:

side A: ????? ??? ?????? ?????? (Madame, the leaves are already falling) written by A. Vertinsky
side B: ??? ????? (Days are passing by) written by A. Vertinsky, waltz

Released in Poland on ODEON catalogue number O. 253196.

Visual: slight dulling of the surface with quite a few visible, thin scratches and general handling marks. There is one needle dig on side B.

Playback: plays through fine, the aforementioned needle dig causes a few knocks/clicks but tracks through fine. The music sounds clear, there is some noticeable, background surface noise with a bit of crackle but it is still very good for a pre-war 78. According to VJM scale, I would give it a V grade.

Both sides of the record were played through on a vintage 1950s Garrard record player.

The record comes in a new, plain brown cardboard sleeve WITH the original ODEON sleeve in poor condition.
