Alhaji Sir Waziri Oshomah "Ota Pea Pea" 1987 Waziri Records WAZ 002. Mind-blowing, hypnotic traditional Etsakor Highlife from Nigeria. Great songwriting and performance, loads of percussion, guitars, even a pedal steel (!), fronted by Sir Waziri Oshomah and his regular partner, Madam Hassanah Waziri. This LP is a must-have for fans of soul, Afrobeat, or psych rock.
Vinyl and sleeve are VG: some writing on label and cover, small seam split on top of sleeve. Vinyl looks better than VG and plays well, but after a few listens, I noticed that the music tends to "wobble" toward the center of the LP. I just had a sense that it was "too" trippy, so I played it up against the music on YouTube, and I feel like this LP must have a slightly off-center press.
