Description
“Journey In Satchidananda” by Alice Coltrane, featuring Pharaoh Sanders, released by Impulse/ABC Records in 1971. This is an original pressing with red & black labels and “A Product Of ABC Records, Inc. New York, N.Y. 10019 Made in USA” text along bottom edge. The cover has its full original shrink wrap intact so I can’t check the identifiers inside the gatefold, but the back cover has the correct spelling variations (Rashid Ali and Charles Stewart). Matrix/Runout (A): AS-9203-A. Matrix/Runout (B): AS-9203-B 12.10.70. I acquired the record sealed and opened it to ensure it wasn’t warped (it isn’t). So both record and cover are as minty fresh as can be. Two notes on the cover’s condition: (1) At the front bottom corner there is some creasing which does not carry through to the back cover (because of the gatefold) and the shrink wrap is intact; and (2) there is a small ding on the spine about an inch and a half from the top. I have photographed both areas.
