Very Rare 1st Pressing of Alice Coltrane's majestic masterpiece, Ptah, the el Daoud LP featuring Pharoah Sanders & Joe Henderson. What you see is what you get and will soon get to hear. If you are here then you understand just how scarce and collectible these early Impulse Jazz LPs are. The wax is Excellent. Just a few scuffs and hairlines are present on both sides, but nothing feelable (except the music!). It still shows a nice luster. The album plays beautifully on my Thorens turntable. It's a very clean copy considering its age. The sleeve is well intact with a VG grade. I tend to be conservative with gradings. Some corner wear and chipping is present as you can see. Typical scuffing and ring wear is present as well. There is a half inch tear at the back, bottom right-hand edge and a vertical crease on the inner gatefold on the right side. All of this should be evident in the photos. Please note that the original Impulse paper inner sleeve is missing and has been replaced by another. Medallion level jazz that is best heard on original, genuine article vinyl.
