Hi there ! This auction is for a used copy of Alice Cooper's 1969 album "Easy Action" released on Straight/Warner Brothers Records. Catalogue number is WS 1845. This is a stereo pressing. This is not an ordinary issue, it is a white label promotional issue with white test strip on the front of the cover. We found something interesting on this LP: the last two tracks on side two are flip-flopped. It goes "Beautiful Flyaway" and then "Lay Down and Die, Goodbye. That track listing does not match the cover or the test strip. Perhaps since this is a promo, those tracks were rearanged that way. This is a gatefold cover as well. Record is VG-/VG with minimal surface wear. It does not look like it was played too much. It does have a few light marks mostly from the abrasive inner paper sleeve and standard handling. There is a slightly heavier scuff mark on the first track of side two but does not affect playback. There are no spindle marks here. Other than your standard minor surface wear, this LP is really very clean. We played this with a Sumiko Pearl cartridge an routed the audio through an Adcom two-channel amplifier. Sounds nice ! Has a few minor clicks and pops but nothing major. The cover is G+/VG- with some light to moderate wear in places. Does contain some light ringwear on both front and back sides but is not too bad; some of the red ink has rubbed away. As mentioned the cover is a gatefold. The inner portion of the gatefold is in lovely shape. There is no visible wear. Cover contains a few light corner dents but not major. The spine is in good shape and is still rigid and can be read easily when upon a shelf. Also, as mentioned there is a clean white test strip on the front that contains no writing ! Sometimes on these promo issues, you will find the call letters of a radio station written on the cover or there will be writing on the test strip....not here, it is nearly pristine ! Comes with original inner black and white printed sleeve featuring the "Straight Records" logo. Sleeve is in really nice shape, no writing no creases and no major tears... Overall, a really nice and clean promotional copy of an early Alice Cooper album. Go ahead and check out the photographs for a further visual description.
