Background / History

From the Inside is the fourth solo studio album by American rock singer Alice Cooper, released in December 1978 by Warner Bros. Records. It is a concept album about Cooper's stay in a New York asylum due to his alcoholism. Each of the characters in the songs were based on actual people Cooper met in the asylum. Among other collaborators, the album features three long-time Elton John associates: lyricist Bernie Taupin, guitarist Davey Johnstone and bassist Dee Murray.

The lead single from the album was the power ballad "How You Gonna See Me Now", which peaked at No. 12 in the US Hot 100 chart. 

Condition Description

The Vinyl is described as Excellent+ & easily played to that today, below average background (average on lead in A! & B2) & no skips or stops. Several spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained nearly all of its rich waxy lustre.  The Cover is described as somewhere between VG & VG+. Lots of visible edge/spine & corner-wear. Plenty of fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. Ring wear to front & verso. There are lots of colour & paper losses to the surfaces, edges & spine. All seam splits, doors, edges, spine etc... have been nicely repaired using transparent tape. A few stains here & there.  Please see attached photos...
