Alice Cooper - Pretties For You LP, USA pressing (Still Sealed)
Sealed copies of Pretties For You are almost IMPOSSIBLE to find mainly because the record is 40 years old.
Recently a sealed copy of Pretties For You sold here on ebay for US$305.
So I don't need to explain too much about how rare this item is. It has been sitting in my collection for 15-20 years, and I bought it off Brian Nelson (Alice Cooper's assistant) - who knows how long he had it for... it may very well be an original Straight label copy.
This is a your chance to own a sealed copy of the first Alice Cooper LP.
Description ::
The plastic has a "piece missing" in the bottom left corner of the front cover.
There is a very small hole in the plastic in the bottom right corner.
Both covers has a round mark where it appears a sticker used to be.
While trying to pinpoint something to determine if this is a Straight copy, I discovered a couple of small but interesting things about this copy...
- Everything is printed on a slight angle, so the printing on the spine is mis-pressed rolling over onto the front cover. You can see from the "front" image some of the yellow print in the upper left side (not clear, but you can see it is the spine print). Also you can easily see that everything is printed on an angle from the back cover image. Look at the left side of the image. At the top there is more "pink" than down the bottom.
- Interestingly enough, I have 7 copies of this record (USA pressings) and this is the only copy I have where the image on the back cover is surrounded by the pink border (if you look at the back cover, you will see some pink on the left side of the image - no other copy of mine has this - maybe yours either :) That is very unique also!

Overall, the item is in mint condition as it is sealed. The plastic seal has a couple of "holes" but is in solid condition.
While I type this description, I still can't believe I'm letting go of this item because I know I will never get another. It is too hard to find.
